Legal and protection
We have arranged financial insolvency insurance with Evolution Insurance Company Limited. It protects eligible safari bookings against financial loss if Okavango Skimmer Safaris Ltd becomes insolvent, subject to the policy’s terms, limits and exclusions.
Policy EV2609UKFI0339 covers eligible bookings made and declared between 1 October 2026 and 30 September 2027. Travel can take place after these dates.
We provide protection details before you pay and issue a Beneficiary Certificate with your booking confirmation.
Flights are booked separately and are not covered by this policy.
The certificate includes claims instructions. Full policy terms are available on request.
Comprehensive travel and medical insurance is a condition of booking. Your policy must include:
Emergency medical expenses of at least US$1,000,000, including emergency evacuation by air and repatriation
Cancellation and curtailment cover for the full value of your safari
Cover for the activities on this trip, specifically open vehicle game drives and mokoro excursions
Cover valid for Botswana, including remote areas
We strongly recommend arranging your insurance when you book. Please check when cancellation cover begins.
Please send us your insurer’s name, policy number and 24-hour emergency contact number by your balance due date.
